One of the art styles I like is mitate. Mitate (見立て) means likening one thing to something else.
The works of miniature photographer and mitate artist Tatsuya Tanaka are really full of fresh ideas! I follow his Instagram, and he always gives me surprise and excitement—like, “Wow! You can look at it that way too!”
For example, when he uses mushrooms for mitate, he can recreate all kinds of scenes like this:
