When You Need a Laugh (and a Good Cry)

Obsessed with Butter Biscuit, a YouTube channel turning wild Harry Potter mistranslations into laugh-out-loud animations!

When You Need a Laugh (and a Good Cry)
Every single time, I laugh so hard I almost die!

Lately, I’ve been crying—laughing so hard I cry—thanks to one thing: a YouTube channel called Butter Biscuit!

It’s a simple concept: two childhood friends "translate" the Harry Potter movies into Japanese… but the translations are completely off-the-rails. Their hilariously inaccurate subtitles are paired with brilliantly absurd animations that follow the mistranslations to the letter, making the whole thing absolutely hilarious.

I can’t get through an episode without tearing up from laughter!

It definitely hits harder if you understand Japanese, but even if you don’t, the animations alone are more than enough to get you laughing.
If you ever need to turn your brain off and just laugh, I highly recommend it!

They’ve also done E.T., Ghibli films, and more!
