Reprinting the Cat for extra Osusowake!
Got a surprise order for the Osusowake cat postcard—did a solo reprint session and made some color improvements, too!
Yesterday, I went back to Spudnik Press to reprint the cat illustration from the Osusowake Club set! One of the friends who received the original postcards reached out and asked for 20 copies of the cat design—such a sweet surprise order!
Since I had already sent out all 50 copies from the original print run as part of the Osusowake Club launch, it meant I had to print a new batch. I had been wanting a chance to revisit the color settings and make some improvements—so this was the perfect opportunity. The day before, I tweaked the color layers and headed into the studio for a fresh round of printing.

This time was extra special—it was my very first time going to Spudnik Press completely on my own! I was nervous, of course. And yes, there were hiccups. The printer kept grabbing too many sheets at once, causing multiple paper jams. Turns out it doesn’t like feeding more than two sheets at a time! Once I figured that out, I switched to printing one at a time in proof mode for a bit, then slowly worked up to two at a time. That rhythm finally did the trick.

And the results? I’m super happy—registration was spot-on for most of the prints, and the color adjustments really made the details shine. Even though the Osusowake Club sets are already mailed out, I printed extra copies this time. Why? My husband will be participating in two pop-up events next month, and we’ll be handing them out for free there!
So if you missed the first round and want a copy, stop by one of the events—we’d love to see you!
