Practicing Limp, Low-Key

Still not feeling 100%, but today’s sketch theme was “limp bodies.” Turns out it’s way harder than drawing tense ones!

Practicing Limp, Low-Key
Tried sketching a heartbroken girl… and I really struggled.

I’m still not back to full health today, but I kept things low-key and did some drawing anyway. The theme was “limp people.” Since I don’t really feel like I’ve mastered drawing full human figures yet, I stuck to just sketching the skeleton structure.

And honestly, limp poses feel harder than the tense ones I practiced earlier this week. When someone is straining, you can usually tell where each body part is headed, so it’s easier to place them. But when someone is limp, the parts could bend in any direction, and you have to carefully observe—or imagine—how each piece connects.

Even though I didn’t nail it, just realizing how much more study I need feels like progress in itself.
