Final AI Illustration: A Week of Obsession and Adjustments
Still on the AI-themed illustration! After lots of redrawing, zooming in, and tweaking binary-code faces, I think I’ve finally reached my personal best—for this week, at least.

Just like yesterday, I continued working on the AI-themed illustration today. Since morning, I couldn’t stop thinking about what exactly felt off about it—what would make it finally click.
While looking at my blog on my phone screen, I realized that seeing the image in a small format—like a thumbnail—actually helped me spot a bunch of things I wanted to fix.
Here’s what I noticed:
- I wanted to push the girl's anxious expression even further.
- Zooming in on the overall composition might help bring more focus to her facial expression.
- Since the setting is on a bed, adding a bedsheet might help highlight the phone lying on top.
- I wanted to redesign the way I drew the AI’s binary-coded body. Instead of making the whole face out of code, I decided to give the AI a calm, human-like expression, as if it were wearing a mask—a mask with serene eyes, but underneath it's all 1s and 0s.
- I wanted the blanket to really feel like a blanket—soft, cozy, and embracing.
- Most importantly, I wanted to guide the viewer’s eyes through the story:
The girl whispering seriously → Her eyes looking at the AI → Down the AI’s body → A phone with notifications lighting up → But she’s totally ignoring it.
I kept all these thoughts in mind as I redrew the whole thing—and here it is, the final illustration!
I still feel like maybe there’s more I could have done... But, this is the best I could do this week. I really gave it my all (with a little dash of “I surrender” energy, too 😅).
Well done, me! Another week wrapped!
