Final Touches on a Bear Hike
Turns out the clouds weren’t quite right. My perfectionist mode activated, and I ended up reshaping the whole composition one last time!

I thought my hiking bear illustration was finished yesterday, but when I showed it to my husband, he said, “The placement of the clouds doesn’t really work with the composition.” And of course, my inner perfectionist immediately yelled, “We’re fixing the clouds!!” So I decided to go back and rework their position and shape.
According to my husband, the composition is interesting because it’s radial—and if the clouds don’t fit into that structure, it throws things off. That made sense to me. So I moved the clouds lower and arranged the mountains and clouds to spread outward from the center, where the bears are. I also used the original upward-curving shape of the clouds to help add more depth to the scene.
And now… this is the final version. Like, really final. Done!
One full week—complete! Good job, self!
