Hang in There, Little Quarterback!
Back from Japan and still wiped out, but my husband’s “Hang in there, my little quarterback!” pep talk weirdly hit the spot.
Since getting back from my emergency trip to Japan, I’ve been under the weather all week. Maybe it’s the jet lag, maybe it’s Japan’s summer heat still clinging to me—but my body’s taking its sweet time bouncing back, and my mood’s been dragging along with it.
But this morning, my husband jokingly called out, “Hang in there, my little quarterback!” And for some reason, it actually gave me a boost.
It reminded me of an illustration I made back in February for the Super Bowl—so here it is again. Go, Charlie, goooo! Huf-huf-hutball!!! 🏈
