November flew by! Wrapping up Osusowake Club and printing new risograph work—here’s a look back at my favorite creative moments this month.
November has come to an end—and that means it’s time for another Charlie’s Playground Monthly! Whether you’re visiting for the first time or catching up after a busy month, here are some highlights from November!

Reprinting Everyone: Back at Spudnik Press!(Nov 17)
This month, I revisited one of my very first risograph prints—everyone, originally made back in 2020—and reprinted it in different colors. It reminded me how far I’ve come. I was able to prep the files, operate the machine by myself, and feel proud of the progress I’ve made.
Most Memorable Phrase I Wrote
“I officially mailed out all Osusowake Club sets!”
This line came from my November 12 post. The Osusowake Club project was an idea that started back in July. I spent August and September warming up—practicing illustration and learning more about storytelling—then dove into creating the actual postcards in October. After finishing all the printing and assembling, I mailed out 45 sets (plus a few extras for hand delivery). When I dropped nearly 40 envelopes at the post office and handed them over to the clerk, I felt a sense of accomplishment I hadn’t expected.
I'm proud of following through, and even more thankful for the kind messages I received from friends and family who said things like: “I got it!” “It’s so cute!” “Your illustrations brought me joy.”
Those warm replies still linger in my heart.
Author's Note
November was all about preparing and shipping the Osusowake Club! But even after completing the main project, I’ve kept going—printing extra postcards, revisiting old risograph designs, and slowly continuing to create at my own pace.
Originally, I thought I’d take a full creative break after mailing out the sets—but now that I feel more confident using the risograph printer on my own, I couldn’t resist diving back in. I just couldn’t sit still!
As the holidays arrive, I plan to spend more time with family and friends while continuing to make things that bring joy. I’m also starting to wonder… what should the next edition of Osusowake Club look like?
