Mosh Pit On Disney – A Nostalgic Throwback

Rediscovering Mosh Pit On Disney—the rock cover album that soundtracked my high school years.

Mosh Pit On Disney – A Nostalgic Throwback
It’s fun to enjoy Disney with a totally different twist once in a while.

Lately, I’ve been listening—very nostalgically—to a YouTube playlist of Mosh Pit On Disney. It’s an official Disney album that was released when I was in high school, featuring rock artists from Japan and abroad covering classic Disney songs in their own styles.

There’s a slightly macho version of the Mickey Mouse March, a super fast-tempo take on a Winnie the Pooh song— it’s amazing.

But the one I loved the most—and replayed over and over—was Low IQ 01’s cover of A Whole New World. It’s light, stylish, and sung in English with a Japanese accent, but somehow that actually matches the mood of the song perfectly. There’s just something about it that feels so right.
