Pamphlet Time: What Even Is Osusowake Club?
Today I worked on the bilingual pamphlet for Osusowake Club! Because if I just mail people art with no explanation… they’re gonna be confused.
Today I worked on designing the Osusowake Club pamphlet!
It’ll be a simple, double-sided handout with a short description of the club—one side in English, one side in Japanese. Because if I just send someone an illustration out of nowhere, they’re probably gonna think, “Wait, what is this?” (And I’m guessing that at least half the people who agreed to receive something from me… have no idea what’s actually coming.)

But at the same time, I don’t want to clutter the pamphlet with too much text.
So guess what’s making a comeback?
I used it at the Chicago Publishers Fair last week—when I handed out stickers instead of business cards and told people, “Scan the QR code!” So many folks actually did it, and a few even said, “Wow! You’re a genius!!!”
That totally made my day—so now the QR code is getting its moment on the pamphlet too!
Tomorrow I’ll take a fresh look at everything and prep it for risograph printing—probably with one or two colors max.
