Shredding Music with a Fan?!
Stumbled onto a YouTube thumbnail of a guy rocking out on a fan like it’s a guitar—and wow, it turned out epic.

What even is this!!! I couldn’t stop saying that.
Yesterday, when I randomly opened YouTube, I saw a thumbnail of a guy slinging a fan over his shoulder, flipping his hair back with it, and strumming the fan like it was a guitar. I was way too curious—so of course I double-clicked. First time in my life seeing someone literally shred on a fan!
Turns out it was a solo performance video by Ei Wada, the leader of Electronicos Fantasticos!—a band that resurrects old, unused appliances as instruments and creates full-on ensembles out of them. According to his own introduction: “When I was little, I was convinced there was a place where a tower made of crab legs with CRT TVs embedded inside was waiting for a music festival. My friend told me no such place existed on Earth, so I figured I’d have to make it myself… and I actually did.”
And the result? Whimsical, eccentric, but seriously cool performances that are both childlike and deeply committed. I think I’m about to fall into a rabbit hole of watching all his stuff.
