Back to Skokie Northshore Sculpture Park

Went back to the Skokie Northshore Sculpture Park—perfect mix of a walk and outdoor art. This time I explored the part I missed before!

Back to Skokie Northshore Sculpture Park
It didn’t even really have a “face,” but I couldn’t stop staring at this strange robot-like sculpture that somehow felt lovable.

Today my husband took me on a little outing to the Skokie Northshore Sculpture Park. I was in the mood for a walk, but also wanted to see some art, and this park felt like the perfect place to do both in the middle of nature!

I actually wrote about visiting here back in April, but the park is so big that it’s impossible to see everything in one go. So today we wandered through the parts we didn’t cover last time.

A giant light bulb! I loved how plants had started sprouting right on top of it, giving it a new kind of life.
A chain sculpture with plants poking out everywhere—so dynamic, and the perfect kind of toughness for an outdoor sculpture park!

The morning started off cloudy, but later the sun came out, cicadas buzzed like crazy, and it ended up being such a lovely late-summer outing.
