Reworking the Color Separation for “Something Long”
I pulled out my “Something Long” project to redo the color separation. This time, I’m aiming for bolder, more satisfying risograph colors!
Today, I pulled out the files for Something Long—a piece I haven’t touched in a while—because I want to reprint it and needed to redo the color separation. I had originally separated the layers using Spectrolite, but the final print turned out much lighter than I expected, and, it left me a little disappointed.
Starting next month, my husband will be joining a few pop-up events, so I thought it would be great to include Something Long among the works he brings. So today, I spent time reworking the files—basically layering risograph ink colors over the original data and adjusting from there.
My goal is to finish everything in time to print in two weeks. Wish me luck!
