Fold, Cut, Repeat! The Something Long Saga

I folded! I panicked! I learned! “Something Long” is done (maybe?) and I’ve got notes for Future Me.

Fold, Cut, Repeat! The Something Long Saga
This setup is giving serious art school final vibes. Midnight cuts, last-minute folds, and the smell of panic in the air. Love it.

Everyone, loooook! "Something Long" is DONE!!

On the day of printing, I was basically short-circuiting from a mix of nerves and excitement—but after dinner and a tiny brain reset, my husband and I squeezed out the last drops of our energy juice and entered full-on Factory Mode. We powered through the whole batch together!

Step one: fold it in half sideways. Then fold it into thirds vertically. Crease it all nicely. Then! Snip snip—cut little slits in just the right spots on both sides. Finally, fold it up into a book. That’s it!

I was in charge of creasing duty, and my husband took care of the cutting and final folding. We repeated this thrilling duet exactly 25 times. Over. And over. And over. 😵‍💫

Look at the glorious stack of Something Long!

Ta-daaa! Here's what the final result looks like!

I’m pretty satisfied with the result, but I’ve also got a list of things to work on. Hoping to make it even better next time—maybe there’ll be a reprint too?
