Her enthusiastic appetite is the key to this illustration! Cherry blossoms matter, of course—but I chose to prioritize the soft, silly-cute concept.

It’s finally done! The illustration concept for Spring Osusowake Club 2026 is ready!

From the sketches I made earlier, I chose the slightly crazy idea of Charlie stuffing cherry blossoms into her mouth like cotton candy. The reason I went with this one? The world-building feels delightfully absurd.

Charlie is bigger than the cherry blossom trees—almost giant-sized—so the scale is completely off. The way Charlie seriously brings the fluffy blossoms to her mouth makes it even funnier. And the slightly chubby body adds to that sense of enthusiastic appetite, which I find incredibly cute.

Now it’s time to move quickly—color separation first, then on to printing!
