Sketching for the Spring Osusowake Club – Part 2
Developing the Spring Osusowake Club concept—exploring drifting cherry blossoms and a girl on a swing.
Today, I continued working on sketches for the Spring Osusowake Club.
From yesterday’s drawings, I realized I really liked the idea of overlapping two images: cherry blossoms softly drifting in the wind and a girl riding a swing. There was something about that combination that felt just right. So today, I drew swings from different angles and in various poses to explore the idea further.
I also experimented with different ways of drawing cherry blossoms, wondering which style feels the most “Charlie Yellow.” There are so many ways to depict sakura, so I tried a range of approaches.
And toward the end, I started doodling different versions of cherry blossom trees too, thinking about how many ways they can be interpreted visually.
I hope the idea starts to come together tomorrow!
