A Visit to Staple + Stitch at the 55 Hotel
We stopped by the Staple + Stitch art book fair at the 55 Hotel in downtown Chicago—an inspiring afternoon surrounded by zines, photo books, and risograph prints!
Today, my husband and I visited Staple + Stitch, an art book fair held at the 55 Hotel in downtown Chicago!
Wandering through the tightly packed vendor booths and taking in all the creative work on display was truly a delight. The event featured not just local vendors from Chicago, but also creators from New York and beyond. Alongside zines, there were also sleek photography books and beautifully bound publications—it definitely had a bit of a high-end feel to it.
The absolute highlight for me was picking up Riso Barycebtric Color Atlas by Daniel Mellis. I’ve never seen such a stunning risograph color chart—it’s a work of art in itself!
There were so many exciting artist discoveries, and the whole event was incredibly inspiring. I really hope we can apply to table at next year’s fair!
