Testing, Tweaking, Still Not Quite There
Went back to Spudnik today to test one more layer on the tree print. Better… but still not quite right. Next week: redraw!
Back to Spudnik Press again today! I went in to continue the printing I started yesterday.
Even though I’ve already decided to redraw the Christmas tree illustration for Osusowake Club, I kept wondering—what if I used teal ink for the tree’s face?
And what if I added texture to the back of the tree?
So I added one more layer to yesterday’s file and printed just that part. And the result? I think it kind of works!
But—I still feel like the elf pulls too much attention away from the tree. And because the lines are so thin, the elf’s expression still isn’t coming through the way I want.
So yeah... I think I really will start over.
Next week, I’m hitting reset and jumping back into illustration mode! Time to draw draw draw!
