Tiny Autumn, Spotted!

Cicadas are still screaming, but look—leaves are turning yellow! Fall is sneaking in, one crisp breeze at a time.

Tiny Autumn, Spotted!
The most autumn-ready tree in my neighborhood!

I found a little piece of autumn!

Over the past few weeks, the temperature in Chicago has dropped quite a bit, and I’ve started noticing more and more people walking around in sweatshirts. I’ve been wearing a light long-sleeved jacket when I go out too. During the day, you can still hear cicadas going full volume—maybe one last big push before summer ends. It’s early September, so it still kind of feels like the tail end of summer... but if you look closely, some of the trees in the city are already starting to turn yellow, and here and there, little yellow and brown leaves are showing up on the ground. Lately I’ve really been feeling the slow, quiet shift of the seasons.
