Tree Makeover Auditions: Which Angle Wins?
I picked the Christmas tree makeover idea and tried drawing it from different angles. Can’t decide! But tomorrow is final art day!
Today I started working on the first illustration for Osusowake Club! From the three ideas I expanded yesterday, I chose the one with the Christmas tree getting dressed up, and spent an hour trying it from different angles.
I still feel like the original idea works the best: the elf helping from behind while the tree looks at its reflection in the mirror. That setup feels the most natural.
But I also really like the version where a bunch of elves are helping, and the angle where you only see the mirror is cute too... And the “makeover complete” version looks so good as a final image!
I’m having trouble choosing, so maybe I’ll talk it over with my art director (aka my husband) and decide together.
Tomorrow, I’ll finally work on the finished illustration! The very first piece for Osusowake Club Vol. 1 is about to be born, and I’m already so excited I can’t sit still!
